Just added Core FTP to Norton's exceptions, and installed the last two Windows updates. Core FTP works!

So the problem must be with either 2018-09 Security and Quality Rollup for .NET Framework 3.5.1, 4.5.2, 4.6, 4.6.1, 4.6.2, 4.7, 4.7.1, 4.7.2 for Windows 7 and Server 2008 R2 for x64 (KB4457918) or 2018-09 Security Monthly Quality Rollup for Windows 7 fo...

Re: Core FTP stopped working after Win 7 update
There's also a message in Windows Firewall that says that the firewall is being managed by Norton, if that matters.

Re: Core FTP stopped working after Win 7 update
I installed the malicious software removal tool. FTP works -- so at least we know that's not the problem.

An operation was attempted on something that is not a socket.

Re: Core FTP stopped working after Win 7 update
Malwarebites, Norton Security.
I just noticed that in the Windows firewall page it says that Norton is controlling the settings for the firewall. Don't know if that matters.

Core FTP stopped working after Win 7 update
Good morning, Core FTP wouldn't connect to the server after the Windows 7 update around the end of August. I rolled back the update, and it started working again. I took a screenshot of the updates -- if it helps, I'll list them in my next message (I guess it's not possible to attach a screenshot he...
