Core FTP

Just added Core FTP to Norton's exceptions, and installed the last two Windows updates. Core FTP works!

I updated Microsoft Office -- ftp still works. So the problem must be with either 2018-09 Security and Quality Rollup for .NET Framework 3.5.1, 4.5.2, 4.6, 4.6.1, 4.6.2, 4.7, 4.7.1, 4.7.2 for Windows 7 and Server 2008 R2 for x64 (KB4457918) or 2018-09 Security Monthly Quality Rollup for Windows 7 fo...

There's also a message in Windows Firewall that says that the firewall is being managed by Norton, if that matters.

I installed the malicious software removal tool. FTP works -- so at least we know that's not the problem.

Norton already has it as an exception.

What should I try next?

I just noticed that in the Windows firewall page it says that Norton is controlling the settings for the firewall. Don't know if that matters.

Doesn't connect. I rolled back the Win 7 updates and it started working again, so I don't have the error message handy anymore, but I think it said something about not finding a port at a certain location?

Good morning, Core FTP wouldn't connect to the server after the Windows 7 update around the end of August. I rolled back the update, and it started working again.
