CoreFTP Speed

Interesting . . . sounds like your comparisons were based on FTP? I know that for sftp, there is a little known feature called "Pipelining" that dramtically speeds up transfers, and most sftp clients do not have it. It is not turned on in CoreFTP LE by default (I think it is on by default ...

RE: Compatibility with Windows 7 64 bit

Using CoreFTP Version 2.1 (build 1649) I've got it working on 3) Win7 64 bitness machines and it runs fine w/o needing compatibility mode. However, CoreFTP will not work properly on any of the machines I have tested if the Windows Firewall is turned on. CoreFTP will connect, but during transfers or ...

Tested again using CoreFTP Lite build 1631. After finding the Pipelining option in the Sitemanager/Advanced/SSH area and turning it on, I am now getting ~300KB/s to transfer the same file as above. Very nice! Just curious -- why is this option not default? And what is the "Pipeline Level" ...

SFTP Speed and Feature Request

SFTP has had a lot of speed/performance issues, and so far I have found only 1 client that resolves them: Bitvise Tunnelier. Here are the results of some tests I did recently uploading a 1.7 gig ISO file over a fairly fast broadband connection to CoreFTP server build 313: CoreFTP LE 2.1 b1625: ~89 K...

Just realized I wrote the Standard FTP hours wrong -- should have been about 1 hour or so.

About SFTP Speed

I have been using coreftp server for more than 1 year, and have serious issues with sftp speed. I just tested several clients uploading a 1.7 gig ISO file over a fast broadband connection (1-2+ MB/s) using CoreFTP server version 3.13: All clients installed on Vista SP2: CoreFTP LE 2.1 b1625: ~89 KB/...

User Name Sort etc

My top feature request would be the ability to sort user account names. I've got enough users to have alphabet spaghetti!

Thanks! :)

I've found a clue to what may be happening with the messed up times: When I connect to the server using sftp using say Filezilla, upon connection it runs the command mtime "xxxx" where xxxx is the name of a file or folder. If xxxx is the name of a file, the correct dates get returned. If x...

I also am having major time problems. At 1st I thought it was just Filezilla, but now I'm not so sure. I had switched to WinSCP for most use due to filedate & time issues, but then one of my users noticed that when she uploaded a file the time was off by a few hours. I was able to duplicate the ...
