Hi,
I've been using Core FTP LE for quite a while now, and have just run into an issue that I cannot figure out.
Normally, everything uploads perfectly to my server. Since Friday night however, I have started running into a problem which I have worked with on the tech staff for my hosting.
When uploading .jpg files with Core, they should normally show on the server with a file type of image/x-generic. They are showing as text/x-generic instead and will not display. If you try to view the .jpg from the server, it shows as a VAX COFF executable not stripped, which from my understanding is a MAC file type.
I am running WinXP SP3 on a Dell Inspiron 9300 via a Sprint broadband card.
Now, I did have to replace my broadband card last week, as a PRL update screwed up the configuration of the card and it had to be replaced.
Could this possibly be the problem, and if so, anyone have any ideas on how to correct it?
I do know that it is NOT a server issue, but an issue with this particular installation. All of my other business associates that also use Core to upload to the same server are not reporting this problem.
I have checked, rechecked and double-checked my Core configuration against the configurations that my associates use, and there are no differences whatsoever. I'm really stumped on this issue.
I do know that it is not the server. I can go into my hosting cPanel and via my file manager upload a jpeg and it will upload properly, however I cannot use this function efficiently as it only allows upload one file at a time -- I normally upload HUNDREDS of jpegs at a time, so I am at a real loss.
I also tried 4 other FTP clients (Core is my preferred client -- great product!) with the same result, so I know it is not Core also --
Any help would be appreciated, as at the moment, I cannot upload any jpegs.
Thanks
