I just set up a new netbook with Windows XP.
I am running wireless on it.
I can't connect to it from my LAN.
Its not my firewall, I set to off. The IP pings fine, but I try to sftp and nothing.
I try to ssh from my other machines on the lan both wired and wireless (all linux) nothing.
However if I putty on the netbook itsself to the IP (the netbook wireless address), I get the coreftp server login and the certificate warning, so I know its running.
I suspect its some stupid security thing blocking incoming wireless connections, despite the firewall is off.
My only other windows machine I have (another old XP notebook) coreftp server works fine, but this is using the inbuilt ethernet port.
Its not the wireless, as I have a Fedora 11 notebook running wireless and I can ssh and sftp into it no problems at all.
Any windows users that know whats up?
Thanks!
