Hi All. I have been using freeFTPd in the past, but it looks like it is not being supported anymore??? Anyway, core looks nice, tight, and fast! Just tried it at home...
Problem is I have 1 application with an automirror on an older system delivering data daily via FTP, and other apps that are doing SFTP delivery of data....
The other system supported both, under one server, on one machine.... Core seems to do a great job of either, but not at the same time?
Any way to run 2 copies of CoreFTP on an XP Pro box, one listening for Port 22 SFTP connection, and another Copy of it running on the same box listening for Port 21 FTP connections?
I tried setting up 2 configs under the application using the Same IP of the machine, but CoreFTP says that's a no-no.
Any thoughts? I'd really like to use Core but have the one FTP app that is holding me back to a simple singe SFTP Server .
Ideas accepted! Thanks!
Have Need for both FTP and SFTP
Thanks for the info, but I tried, but It does not start 2 domains. I can tell you I tried CoreFTP about a year ago, but did not use. So When I install the latest version and start up, it says something like "you have demoed over 45 days"... but appears to run.
I put in two entried with 2 bogus domain names, both the same local IP (192.168.0.4), and set one for port 22 and SFTP, and the other for port 21 and regular FTP... But I receive an error upon "Starting" the server, and it indicates only one is started. Here is the text in the info box upon starting (while having 2 services configured)
[20100317 07:52:00] 1 domain(s) allowed...
[#1] [20100317 07:52:00] Starting domain - HomeTest (#1)...
[#1] [20100317 07:52:01] HomeTest active...
You can use the same IP, but each server type needs to run on a different port. Currently you would need to setup two domains to do this.
