Can only see C Drive

Post by spintz »

I cannot browse to a thumb drive, or anything other than the C drive. What's really weird, is when I click the tree icon to the left of the "up one folder" button, I get a dialog that lists a bunch of drives that don't even exist on my machine, and no matter what I do, I'm screwed. I have to kill CoreFTP process and restart it.

Ok, that interface is very confusing. To review, there are 2 "toolbars" above the local browser. The top one, has a magnifying, and then the 2nd one in, is the actual folder select. The first icon of the 2nd toolbar (looks like a tree control icon) does nothing, and in fact, locks up my machine.

I have only C and D drives.

It shows, Desktop, My Documents, A, B, C, D, E and F drives. I then am stuck, and have to kill the process.

So, I should use the 2nd icon on the top toolbar to change directories, right?

Also, I was at the time, trying to access a flash drive (which was E drive) and when I typed E:\ into the text box, it did nothing, and just dumped me back to the C drive.

Why not use a standard windows explorer interface? Why try to create your own that only confuses people?
