FTP Server noob, having issues

Post by Cpt.America »

I installed the latest CORE FTP server on a 2008 R2 server, and spent quite a bit of time building a single FTP site/folder using SSL, and really had no issues. People from outside can connect up great.

Now, I just purchased the pay licence key because I will have the need for many more accounts/directories on this FTP server, but how do I get back into the interface to build more accounts? If I double click the "core ftp serve (x64) icon on the desktop, I get an error:

"can't open c:\program files\coreFTPServer\config.dat (error=5)"

I hit the OK, button, and then I get another very similar error

"Can't open config.dat (error=5)"

I hit the OK button, and I get:

"Unable to open the configuration file, create a new file"?

Can anybody run me through how you run the administrative side of core FTP server? I don't want to lose the site I have alread set up.

thanks

Right click on the Core FTP Server icon, run as admin:
