Cannot Connect

I have just started with the Core FTP program. Whenever I try to connect it tells me that the requested name is valid and was found in the database, but it does not have the correct associated data being resolved for. I am not sure what the problem is. I would appreciate any suggestions.

Now the program says that my login is invalid. The person who is setting up the website said she would fix the last problem and she did, but now the program says something like I am not an authorized user and that my login is incorrect.
