Cant access dir with other letter than english

Post by George »

I just installed Core ftp and thinks it´s a very nice ftp client. But I have a small problem. I cant access to a dir with letters Ä, Å, Ö
Since I live in Sweden people who upload file and dir to ftp servers not always just use standard english letters.
Is it possible to solve this problem because I really like Core ftp and want to use it..

I tried both but it didnt help me :(
The strange thing is that it is one letter shorter than the original filename (or dir )
E.g, file: mössa.jpg looks like: mssa.jpg and cannot be downloaded or if its a dir I cannot access it.

This is now really strange..

If I upload a file which contain å, ä, ö in the filename it does look fine in the remote directory. But the files that was in that directory from beginning with å, ä, ö letters, still missing that letter.

Its two different dirs with the same letter Ö in it
The first J-gge smathing is created by Cute ftp and cannot be read by Core
The second, m--ssa is created by Core and looks the same if i open that ftp and dir with Cute.

Hope you understand what I mean..
