Can't create download link if filename contains Chinese

Post by Dawei »

Hi,

I'm trying to create an http download link for a filename containing Chinese characters. In Windows

I can type Chinese into the file name itself no problem.

Then I drag the file into a folder using CoreFTP. Then I r/click and copy the url. Then I delete the

first part of the url and change ftp to http, followed by the web address, folder and filename.

It works perfectly if the filename is all English characters, but if the filename begins with Chinese

characters, then this part remains separated from the link, leaving only the first part as a url.

Putting arrows around the whole string doesn't work either. I've also tried r/clicking the filename

and changing the font to Arial Unicode, but this doesn't work.

Many thanks!
