Lock Settings Password Not Working

Hi. I have the free version of Core FTP and I want to store the configuration in the folder where Core FTP is located.
I'm unchecking 'Lock Settings' in Data section of Options, I enter the password admin (found in the help file) and nothing happens.
The 'Lock Settings' is still checked and the other options are greyed out.
Please help.

you'll need admin privs ("run as admin") and/or need to change privs on the directory in order to write to the program files directory.

You are right for windows 7 and above.
I was trying in windows xp and it simply doesn't work there.

Lock Settings Password Not Working

do a export on your working password to get a copy made, then you will not have this problem ever again.... Right Click on the Site name when your in the site manager window.... Then later, when it does not work, just import it back in....
