Application Hang - Connection Refused by Server

Post by Myutora »

Hi!

We are currently experiencing a reoccurring error with Core FTP Server.
See information below:

Windows Server: Server 2012 R2 Standard 64 bit
Core FTP Server version: Version 1.2 Build 535 64-bit
License status: Licensed
Run type: as a service (local system account)
Issue: coresrvr.exe application hang (event ID 1000)
Logging: no coredump.log is created by coreftp
Symptons: connecting via SFTP / FTP to CoreFTP Server is not possible (connection refused by server).
Solution: restarting the coreftp application resolves the issue.
Occured: 2 times in 5 weeks.

When opening the application it still seems like it is running normal but connections are refused from client machines towards the server.

Restarting the servers does not work either, the issue occured again afterwards. Can anyone assist us in this matter?

Thanks in advance! :-)

If there is a coredump.log file in the installation directory (or %TEMP%), send it to support.

A common issue pre build 543 was the SFTP null path issue which was fixed in this build (~ Sept 2014).
