apply new license to existing installation

Hi,

I've purchased new license and received the license file. My task is to seamlessly (with minimal downtime) install or apply the new license file to existing installation on prod server. After applying the license file I will be able to update software to the latest builds.
Here are my worries:
- existing installation does not have or have limited access to internet - will it be an issue to activate new license?
- my current build is 585 x64 version 1.2 - is it compatible with the fresh license file?

After applying new license next task will be upgrading the CoreFTP server to v.2.0. Will it require special precautions to convert existing config files from old version? I have 500+ users configured in one domain.

you will need to do an offline activation - contact support with your license for more information. A license file can be applied at any time.


To install new builds, simply install right over the existing build. As a precaution you can backup the config.dat file before upgrading, as though doing a move:
