File Size: KB, Bytes

Post by moshepack »

In the View->Options->Display window, I set File Size to Bytes. However, this appears to affect only the listing of files on my local drive. The remote FTP directory's file listing continues to show KB or perhaps blocks, but certainly not bytes.

Is this by design? Is there a way to display file sizes in the FTP directory by Bytes?

Thanks!

Size: KB / Bytes / Blocks

Anything new on this issue?

To recap, when going into View->Options->Display and setting File Size, this appears to affect only the display of the list of files in a local directory. When displaying a list of files in the remote (i.e. FTP) directory, it appears that block sizes rather than bytes or KB is displayed.

Thanks,
Moshe

FileSize

I downloaded and tried out the ANSI version. It still lists the filesize as a blocksize instead of bytes or kb.

I am connecting to a VMS server. If I go into a DOS FTP session, file sizes are display in the way you display them. However, there are other FTP clients (such as AceFTP) which manage to display the file size in bytes or kilobytes.
