Edited files not uploading properly

Hi, I'm new to FTP! The first time I edited and uploaded files a couple of weeks ago it worked like a dream. Now I've come to edit my website again but once I've editing the files and uploaded, when I refresh my website none of the changes have taken place. Can anyone please tell me what I might be doing wrong?

are you uploading your files to the right directory?

I've made that mistake more than once

Thanks Sam. I'm not sure what you mean. I only seem to have one server directory listed on the right-hand side of the screen. Where would another directory be? Katherine
