Filename issues in GUI to OpenVMS server

Post by maurert »

CoreFTP v1.3c build 1447.6
OpenVMS v 7.3-2
TCPIP Services for OpenVMS v5.4 ECO 5

When using the GUI some files don't display the name correctly. rather instead of the filename the OpenVMS size will be in the fielname field, and the size fields and date fields have garbage in them.

It seems to be related to larger file names, though some longer fiels names are fine. I'm guessing that CoreFTP is having trouble parsing the return output of a FTP>DIR command. I've played with different options for the site and haven't found a combination that works consistantly.

2.0 Build 1485 Installed Finaly

Post by maurert »

2.0 Build 1485 has been installed. Tried Server Type = VMS and VMS 7+. Neither works 100%. At first I thought it was only long files names, but sometimes short files names will be messed up too. How can we procede? Do you want screen shots?

Obviously OpenVMS system is sending back a stream of information that CoteFTP is parsing incorrectly. Is there a way to log that raw stream?

CP,

Did you get my Email with the directory listing, and did it help you understand what is going on?
