FTPS - ASA 5505 - Clear Command Channel

I am having an issue with a Core FTP server running behind a Cisco ASA 5505. The Cisco documentation specifically addresses the problem (basically it won't work because the ASA is unable to see the ports in the encrypted packets) but they suggest using a clear command channel as a work around. I have looked through the Core FTP server documentation and cannot find any reference to enabling a connection using clear command channel. Is this an option for the Core FTP server product?
