How do you create a link to a shared folder?

Post by oh_noes »

We have Users who are "Locked inside Home directory". The base dir for the domain is d:\ftp-root.

They users, and there home directories are:

d:\ftp-root\users\user1
d:\ftp-root\users\user2
d:\ftp-root\users\user3

I want to give each user access to the following two folders:

d:\ftp-root\shared\folder1
d:\ftp-root\shared\folder2

How do I do this? I've given them the read only access into folder1 and folder2. But I have no way of actually displaying folder1 and folder2 in the Client?

If they manually type in /shared/folder1 into the Remote Site Directory, it works.

How do I display the two folders, folder1 and folder2 to the Users when they log in from a client?

A Windows Shortcut didn't work. It just appears as a plain "lnk" file.
