CoreFTP UI messed up in Vista

Post by cometfish »

Hi everyone,

A couple of days ago, my CoreFTP crashed, and when I run it now, it comes up with the following messed up screen:

Image
(I have blurred the folder listing and the path)

I originally thought "ok, maybe it doesn't work with vista" so I went off to try some other ftp programs out there. But I have to say, none of them worked nearly as cleanly or as fast as my CoreFTP used to. So I've come back in the hope that someone can tell me what is wrong!

Basically the folder and sitenames in the Connect box are diagonal, distorted and backwards...none of the connection info shows up for them, and the Transfer window does not appear at all.

I uninstalled my version (an older 2.0 version) and installed the latest 2.0 version, but it didn't help.

When it first crashed, it wrecked the UI on other programs as well, until I restarted the computer.

I am running Windows Vista Home Premium, and here is the crashlog I found in the folder today (after browsing through a couple of threads here I realised you might want to take a look) dump link deleted

Any help appreciated, thankyou :)

Thankyou so much! It is fixed!!

I dragged the line up, but couldn't drag it high enough to see any of the white area to right-click on (there was just grey and a couple of big blue blobs that looked like the logo)...but when I clicked on the grey area and pressed the 'right-click/context menu' key on my keyboard, the menu with 'reset font' came up. It fixed the Connect window too :D

Thanks again, appreciate the fast and helpful response :)
