Hello,
I did not succeed in setting up a pair of public/private keys with coreftp server (tested with linux sftp client).
I tried :
- pair of keys generated from coreftp server
- pair of keys generated form my linux client
On the server I selected :
"Allow Key authentication" ON
"key authentication only" ON (does this forbid authentication without key auth?, meaning not clear for me)
"force password with keys" OFF
BTW: what does mean the chekbox "Users does not require key authentication" ? when selecting the security option for a user in the server setup?
thxs for your help!
PS:
A mysterious point is that in coreftp doc, it is written that the doc rsa key are openSSH keys; however, the openSSH rsa public keys are always starting with the following string "ssh-rsa " and ends with some additionnel info. This is not the case with openSSH key generated by coreFTP. surprising?
