Fail to connect to SFTP Server(SSL)?

Post by evanyuan »

I use "AUTH SSL" to connect SFTP server 65.82.130.70:10021(internet accessable) from our intranet, failed every time with following logs. I provided User(AAA) and Pwd(XXX), but after receive 220, no further message returned.

"Connect socket #3116 to 65.82.130.70, port 10021...

USER AAA
220 FTP. Time = 09:24:28"

Anybody knows the problem?
I'm not sure whether it's caused by proxy(coz we use proxy to access internet), but even i provide proxy, still can not connect. While I can connect to SFTP server from my home without proxy.
And is there any possibility that port 10021 is forbiddend by our intranent?

Not necessarily. If working with my coworker has taught me anything, it's that proxies are the devil...and if anything can be configured to confuse even a PhD in such a manner, a proxy is one of those things.

A proxy can be configured to handle almost anything you throw at it. It's extremely versatile, and extremely confounding when improperly configured.

.......not that I'm saying it's the proxy in this instance, but man...I hate proxies. :)
