Compatibility with Windows 7 64 bit

I just orderd a pair of new PCs which will have Windows 7 64 bit installed. Will Core FTP work in native 64 bit mode, or will I have to use XP compatibility mode?

Using CoreFTP Version 2.1 (build 1649) I've got it working on 3) Win7 64 bitness machines and it runs fine w/o needing compatibility mode. However, CoreFTP will not work properly on any of the machines I have tested if the Windows Firewall is turned on. CoreFTP will connect, but during transfers or clicking several directories deep it will either disconnect or act funny. I have tried to find which firewall rule might cause this and have found by trial and error it is no particular rule, but the firewall itself. If it is on with 0 rules for the profile being used (home, office, or public), the problem occurs. Turning the firewall off for the profile being used always works, as does using a 3rd party firewall (I have tested using Kaspersky Internet Security). I hope this may be resolved in the future . . .
