Files are not placed in specified directory during sftp

Good morning,
On one of the licensed Core FTP servers we have, the following problem is happening.
The domain user that was created for sftp transfer access has the E:\ drive has it's home directory. When transfers are done, it is send to /opsmftp\data\"filename", but it is then placed in the opsmftp directory and not the data directory.
We tried changing some CoreFTP setup changes put it doesn't change the problem. We also shared the data directory and gave all users full permissions, but still no luck.
We also tried to send to another directory and sub-directory : /TestA\TestB\"filename" , but it still places the file in the opsmftp directory on the E:\ drive.
Any ideas of setup changes we can make on Core FTP?
Thanks
Derick Pieterse
