new sftp server setup. Cannot connect client side

I am setting up a sftp server and after setup. i can see the port when the server is on when checking on canyouseeme.org. I am using port 22, but when I go to the client and connect using the info i setup i get the error message Can't establish connection --> 12.171.201.210:22 @ Tue Feb 21 20:23:46 2017 (10038-1).

I am out of ideas if anyone can shed some light on the situation that would be great

Try adding CoreFTPServer\coresrvr.exe as a firewall exception.

Make sure you can connect locally on the machine - if you can that usually indicates a firewall issue.
