new user needs help

Hi I'm a relatively new user to FTP programs (all the ones I've previously used were already set up by other people).

I've downloaded and installed Core FTP Lite so that I can activate and use my free webspace on ntlworld.

Can anyone tell me exactly how I'm supposed to configure my connection.
I'm using a dial up modem (I know, what a dinosaur but it works) and my firewalls have been amended to allow core to access the internet.

Any help greatly appreciated.
