Windows cannot find co.exe

Post by LeeG »

Hi, I've recently installed CoreFTP Pro on two load-balanced Citrix servers. Core is only used by one user profile when they log in remotely. Since installing, other users are unable to run standard (web/IE) shortcuts to ftp sites - 'Windows cannot find co.exe. This program is needed for opening files of type 'URL:File Transfer Protocol''. I've looked at re-associating this file type to open with IE but don't have the option to change it (I'm a Domain and Local Admin).

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks CP, I'll try this on one of the Citrix farm members.

Sussed it. Uninstalling Core didn't work, the file-type was still wrong. Being Citrix servers, I couldn't change the association back in the usual way (explorer>tools>folder option>file types) but running this set it back to using IE;

ftype ftp="C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" %1

Thanks to www.brianmadden.com for the tips.

Another user also found this error and it's being fixed for the next build. It looks like there is an error in Core FTP where it's not updating the registry correctly for browser integration.
