'SFTP not enabled?"

Post by dblaze »

I can connect to a site from 2 other machines using CoreFTP and an ActiveX SFTP control. From one particular machine I cannot. Here's what's displayed during the connect process:

Looking up host "sftp.banko.com"
Connecting to 209.243.54.188 port 22
Server version: SSH-2.0-5.0.1.79 SSH Tectia Server
version: SSH-2.0-SSH-Local: Jun 9 2008 12:02:39
Using SSH protocol version 2
Unable to initialize SFTP: ????4???t (sftp not enabled?)
Can't establish connection --> sftp.banko.com:22 @ Wed May 06 11:54:42 2009 (0-1)

Is there something on this server (Windows 2003) that needs to be enabled to let a SFTP connection work?

Thanks,
Doug

The information shown above is with 'Use PUTTY Compatible' turned on. I turned it off and get the following:

Resolving sftp.banko.com...
sftp.banko.com connecting...
SSH-2.0-5.0.1.79 SSH Tectia Server
SFTP connection error

On the machines that it works, 'Use PUTTY Compatible' is turned on.
