Certificates

When I first configured SFTP I created a self signed certificate, which worked fine. Now I wish to change some information in the certificate (name, location, etc.). I tried creating a new certificate, but when I go to connect it displays the information from the old one. I've tried restarting the computer, completely uninstalling/reinstalling coreftp server, etc with the same result. How can I get my new certificate to take?
